Happy Monday! Can you even believe it is October??? I sure can’t. I feel like this summer just breezed by, although it still feels like summer here in Los Angeles.
Did you all have a good weekend? I hope everyone took some time to simply be happy. I was home pretty much all weekend and spent some quality time with Walter. We even did some cone free time while we were both hanging out on the couch.
Her tummy is healing nicely but I think we need the cone for at least another week. I’m looking forward to not being woken up several times each night by Walter’s loud cone as she jumps on and off the bed.
On Saturday we celebrated my dad’s 60th birthday (Happy Birthday, Dad)! We took him out for a fancy dinner and spent quality time with family, talking about my brother’s first year at University, my other brother’s new job, and laughing with my dad over Honey Boo Boo. I had no idea he was such a fan! Haha. There may have been lots of eye rolling from Mr. BFT during that conversation.
Sunday was spent doing the normal errands, prepping blog posts, and working on a DIY project for my internship with DIYBride.com. I’ll link to it once it’s up! At one point I realized how much I can get done during a weekend when I don’t visit Disneyland! Those weekends aren’t nearly as magical, though. And despite the 100 degree weather, I even went out for a four mile hike, which felt amazing! No running, just walking and hiking. It was a great way to end the weekend.
