Real Disneyland Engagement - Becca and Mike

Happy Valentine's Day!  A day like today calls for a story of romance, and I have the perfect one.  Becca and Mike met in high school and have been together for a few years, and got engaged a while back.  They are already in the thick of planning their Disneyland wedding, which you can read more about on Becca's blog, Disneyland Bride!

But honestly, it wasn't the proposal, or the ring, of Becca's dreams.  So when Becca's engagement ring was stolen from a locker while she was at night school, Mike saw an opportunity!  Since Mike is a Disneyland Cast Member, he was able to arrange some extra special pixie dust for the occasion, and even asked a friend to come along to take pictures.  The rest of Becca's story is below:

"On our Meet-a-versary (the anniversary of the day we met - he even wore the same outfit from the day we met), we went to Disneyland with his best friend. Mike told me that he had never been through the Sleeping Beauty walk-through inside Sleeping Beauty's Castle so he asked me to take them through. Sure, why not?  I didn't notice at the time but Mike had the attraction closed off for us. As we walked through, he was next to me talking about some of our favorite moments together. I guess he was building up to something but I just thought he was acting weird! 

"When we got to the end of the walk-through he stopped me. I looked around and noticed a crowd of people surrounding the exit. Mike then gave me a beautiful speech that I unfortunately don't remember a word of, got down on one knee, and re-proposed to me with this gorgeous new ring. I was in shock and couldn't believe how gorgeous it was. I immediately started crying and didn't stop for the next half hour."

 

"Right away his bosses in the Security department came up and congratulated us and escorted us on a private boat on my favorite ride, the Storybook Land Canal Boats. Then we took a quick picture in front of our future venue, Aladdin's Oasis, before Mike took me to dinner at Blue Bayou restaurant for the first time. What an amazing day!! I feel so lucky, not every girl gets proposed to twice!"
