From Ashley: Steve and I, with two of my good friends, went to Disneyland three days before Christmas in 2011. The entire day was full of laughter, first times, and Disney magic. After our last ride we all decided to visit the gorgeous castle one last time before leaving. Steve pulled me aside saying he wanted to give me my Christmas present. He handed me a small box with a tag that said "A dream is a wish your heart makes when you're fast asleep." For all you non-Disney fanatics out there, that's a very sweet song lyric from the movie Cinderella. Once I opened the gift box, I immediately saw a beautiful engraved box inside that said "Make my life magical. Marry me Princess." I started crying and could barely make out the word "YES!" My best friend who was with us immediately caught on and took pictures of the moment. Steve apparently wasn't sure exactly at what point during the day he was going to propose, but I couldn't be happier with in front of the castle at night at Christmas (my two fave things are Disney and Christmas!!)!!
To explain the this last picture, my friend works at Disneyland and when she heard we got engaged the night before she made sure we got not only "Just Engaged" pins, but also a signed picture from Mickey and Minnie as well as bride and groom Mickey and Minnie hats!!! Needless to say I was very very very excited!!!!!!!
